On Tuesday, October 16, 2007 UCSD will conduct an emergency response exercise. UCSD’s emergency responders will interact with San Diego Police and Fire in an active shooter scenario. UCSD’s Medical Centers will also participate in the exercise. While first responders practice their skills, Calit2 researchers from the RESCUE (Responding to Crises and Unexpected Events) and Responsphere projects will deploy a communication network and test new technologies for disaster response.
